Ananda in the Himalayas is a premier health and wellness spa located on the lush grounds of the palace of the Maharaja of Tehri Garhwal in the Himalayan foothills near the holy cities of Rishikesh and Haridwar. It is a holistic health & wellness haven surrounded by graceful Sal forests overlooking the peaceful Ganga. The sprawling 24,000-square-foot spa features 24 treatment rooms with a focus on redefining lifestyles to include well-known traditional Indian wellness regimes of Ayurveda, Yoga and Vedanta combined with the best of International Wellness Experiences. The guestrooms have minimalist but luxurious decor that reflect the resort's spiritual nature. Ananda in the Himalayas is a personal journey, an oasis of restoration, rejuvenation, and peace. 

Location

Ananda is 40 kms away from the holy town of Haridwar in Uttarakhand, India and is easily accessible by road, rail, and air. It is a 45-minute flight to Dehradun Jolly Grant Airport. Delhi is a four-hour train journey, or an eight-hour scenic drive.

Ananda in the Himalayas offers rooms with garden, valley or palace view; suites with private garden with mesmerizing views and luxury villas with private pool. All rooms feature stylish surroundings offering a comfortable lounger with a footrest facing the balcony, elegant writing and bedside tables, tea coffee maker, well stocked mini bar, electronic safe and complimentary Wi-Fi High speed internet access. There are 70 beautifully appointed Rooms with private balconies and scenic views of the Palace or the Ganges river valley, 4 suites with private garden and valley or palace view and 3 luxury villas with a private pool.

    The Deluxe Palace/Garden View rooms offer pure luxury and comfort. With an ample size of 45 sqm, these newly renovated rooms feature walk-in closets and beautifully appointed bathrooms with expansive views of the Golf course and the Palace.     Deluxe Valley View Rooms are situated on the premium floors. These rooms offer a private balcony with sweeping views of the Rishikesh valley. This luxurious suite offers a spacious sitting and dining area, along with a plush bedroom featuring a period four-poster bed. The attached dressing room and bathroom showcase beautifully appointed antique fittings and furniture. Enjoy the serene landscape from your private terrace and the rooftop gazebo seating, which overlook the sloping landscaped gardens and the distant Ganga Valley.   • Ananda Villas

    The Ananda Villas are elegantly appointed retreats named after the great mountain ranges Himalaya and Shivalik and the river Ganga. The villas include two 2-bedroom units (1800 sq. ft.) and one 1-bedroom unit (1200 sq. ft). Each villa features a living room, a butler's pantry, a dressing room, and a large bathroom with a private sauna and an unobstructed view of the private swimming pool. The 40-square meter private pools are surrounded by a deck area with comfortable lounge beds, creating an ideal retreat into a tranquil environment.
