At Banyan Tree Ringha, is located in the land of the mythical Shangri-La,a mountainous area that has been designated as the official Shangri-La by the Chinese government and is part of Greater Tibet, both historically and culturally. The Banyan Tree Ringha is a luxuriously renovated, traditional Tibetan farmhouse located in the midst of snow-capped peaks awe-inspiring ridges, deep canyons, endless valleys, and idyllic lakes. You can indulge in spa treatments, trek over mountains, or just read by the fireplace.

Location

Banyan Tree Ringha is in China's Yunnan province, a mountainous region adjacent to the Tibetan Autonomous region.The nearest international airport is Kunming International Airport, and domestic airport is Diqing Airport in Shangri-La. From there, it's a 40 minute drive.

Rooms

All 32 suites &lodges are authentic Tibetan farmhouses with intricate woodcarvings, smoky fireplaces and wooden balconies that have valley or river views. Impressive pine pillars add enormous character to both the interior and exterior of each house.

  • Tibetan Suite:

    The one-bedroom two-level Tibetan Suite,has a rustic charm which blends the cosy setting of a Tibetan cottage in the countryside with contemporary colours and furnishings. Admire the scenery from your private terrace or indulge in a rejuvenating bath in the handcrafted wooden hot tub of the bathroom.

  • Two-bedroom Tibetan Lodge:

    The sprawling features two bedrooms, with the additional bedroom on the lower level. The upper level houses one bedroom, the living area, study area and fireplace whilst the lower level is where the bathroom and the second bedroom can be found. It has intricate woodcarvings, cosy fireplaces and wooden balconies that have valley or river views.

  • Tibetan Spa Suite

    The spacious one-bedroom Tibetan Spa Suite, features the bedroom and relaxation area on the upper level, and a private couple spa treatment room with a luxurious wooden bathtub in the lower level. This is the place to be pampered with an indulgent spa treatment in the comfort of your own suite.

  • Ringha Lodge:

    Ringha Lodge was built as the private residence of a Tibetan villager, his family and his livestock; it was subsequently renovated preserving its historic charm. It’s a personal hideaway that’s ideal for a family or group of four, with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a wonderfully atmospheric living area with a fireplace and an enchanting courtyard.
