The New hotel (former Olympic Palace) is a contemporary hotel in Athens Plaka district, redesigned by Brazilian visionaries Humberto and Fernando Campana along with Greek Cypriot art collector Dakis Joannou. The overall ambience of the hotel is sophisticated and modern, with each element craftily reconfigured using salvaged elements: from the lifts to the reception desk to the chairs, side lamps and breakfast bar. The vibe of this 79-room establishment is young, energetic and seductive. 
The NEW Taste restaurant serves Mediterranean and International cuisine from high quality local fresh produce. Drinks are best enjoyed at the rooftop Lounge Bar with magnificent views of the City. The New Sense spa has a hammam, Jacuzzi and offers various lavish treatments for face and body.  The Hotel displays luxurious work of art with custom made furniture and home made artefacts. The rooms and suites allows guests to feel like they're a part of the vivid in-room installations. This theme even pervades the bathrooms, where blocky, sharp-edged washbasins based on the shape of diamonds reach into spaces normally left unused. Infact, every corner of the hotel has been used to perfection.  
Location

The New Hotel is located in the city centre close to the Acropolis, Old Royal Palace and Syntagma Square.  Cafes, shops, boutiques and restaurants are just a walk away. The Athens International airport and the port of Piraeus are is about 35kms (40-50 minutes) away. 

Rooms

The New Hotel has 79 designer rooms all carefully designed with style and elegance. The gold shaded mirrors, the floor to ceiling bamboo walls and floors, the sculpture like bathrooms and branded toiletries, the natural wood colours and opaque glassed elements, all pay tribute to the Campana exploration of space. In rooms facilities include flatscreen TV with film library, iPod dock, minibar and Apivita bath products. Junior Suites and the Penthouse Suite have a PlayStation 3, Blu-Ray players and Kiehl’s bath products.

  • Superior Plus Rooms:

    Enjoy luxurious comfort in the superior plus rooms, some of which offer stunning views of Lycabettus Hill, allowing you to immerse yourself in the city's iconic landscape. Alternatively, front-facing rooms on Filellinon street provide a captivating view of the Russian Church of Sotira Lykodimou, an awe-inspiring medieval masterpiece, and the lush National Gardens. The room can accommodate upto 2 guests. Size - 25sqm

    The studio rooms are designed with sophistication. They feature a comfortable sitting area for relaxation. These studios are situated on street corners, offering picturesque views of the Russian Church of Sotira Lykodimou and the exquisite National Gardens. Some studios provide a side-street view, all designed for comfort and style. Size 30-sqm

  • Junior Suite:

    Experience luxurious comfort in the junior suites, which include a separate sleeping and living area with comfortable sofas. Each suite also serves as an art gallery, displaying unique art installations by renowned Greek artists. Enjoy peaceful views of the hanging garden, enclosed by intricately woven walls.   • Penthouse Suite:

    The lavish penthouse suite features a distinctive Campana aesthetic, with separate sleeping and living areas. The suite features an all-marble bathroom and an expansive terrace offering 360° views of historic landmarks including the Acropolis, Lycabettus Hill, Syntagma Square, and the House of Parliament.
