One & Only’s luxury safari lodge nestled in the ancient Nyungwe Forest, Africa’s largest mountain rainforest.Spanning approximately 1,020 sq. km, this breathtaking National Park is a rare haven of rainforest, bamboo, grasslands, swamps, and bogs, home to over 13 species of primates, including captivating chimpanzees and other endangered monkeys.

Nyungwe House is set within a working tea plantation of Gisakura, deep within the heart of the forest. The lodge features 22 luxurious rooms and suites, each with open fireplaces, housed in six stunning wooden villas that beautifully frame the surrounding nature and offer exceptional views of the forest.

Indulge in exquisite dining at the farm-to-table restaurant, and unwind in the spa, a blissful sanctuary inspired by nature. Location

  • One&Only Nyungwe House is located in southwest Rwanda, just south of Lake Kivu. 
  • It is a 20-minute drive from the Uwinka reception centre (the main access point for the National Park) and five hours from the Rwandan capital Kigali.

Situated in five striking wooden villa clusters, the 19 rooms and 3 suites are designed to blend seamlessly with the unique landscape of the rainforest with a host of elegant amenities. Each has a forest-view balcony, four poster bed, air conditioning and an indoor fireplace.
