Soneva Fushi, one of the pioneers of barefoot luxury, is a Robinson Crusoe style resort located on a large island but the vibe here is distinctly intimate. With stunning powder-white beaches, the boutique eco-chic villas of the resort are the perfect setting for romantic fantasies. Sustainability is at the core of the resort's philosophy. They have a no news, no shoes policy, they spearhead a marine conservation project on the island and they have a special Eco-centre for waste management and recycling. They even recycle glass bottles into beautiful artworks throughout the property.
The 61 villas and private residences with thatched roofs are luxurious yet traditional which range from one bedroom to a nine bedroom private reserve. The unique architecture features raw wooden beams, high palm-thatched ceilings, and white stucco walls. Soneva Fushi features several innovative restaurants including Mediterranean style seafood, Peruvian influenced Japanese food and wine tasting evening. It features a world-class spa, a diving school and a wonderful outdoor cinema. Resort guests are treated to intuitive service by private butlers. Active guests have access to a tennis court, gym and the option to cycle around the island
