In southeast Sri Lanka lies the spectacular Wild Coast Tented Lodge, adjacent to Yala National Park which is renowned for its Leopard population. This luxury tented camp features 28 cocoon-like tents set at the edge of the jungle and a rugged stretch of beach. Together they form the shape of a leopard's paw, a unique design which sees the man-made structures blending seamlessly into the surrounding landscape. The tents have a stretched canvas roof, some with a plunge pool and the décor is a beautiful blend of colonial chic and contemporary design.
The lodge features a dining pavilion which is designed to mirror the boulders on the beach and serves a modern twist on Sri Lankan cuisine. It also has a library and a bar, the Ten Tuskers, which is open-air and bamboo clad. A free form swimming pool and a spa complete the entire experience at the Wild Coast Tented Lodge.
